Project and Portfolio 3- Emotional Walks

The goal for this course was to create animations that showcased an emotion. For my first animation, I designed a walk that would emulate anger; I exaggerated body rotations and shifted the overall curve of the body to show tension and anger in her actions. For the lighting, I utilized a dark background and a splash of red to emulate anger. I also backlit her so that she was visible against the background. For the second animation, I decided to create one of a girl injured and limping forward. For this, I again tried to exaggerate her line of action and have the momentum of her body come from the twist of her shoulders. For her lighting, I tried to create a somber and yet tense mood; I utilized blues that were high in contrast to show this.
